We’ve come to this close realisation that sharing our space with people who honour where things begin, and still take those beginnings somewhere new, is becoming an important part of building a community shaped by reimagination.

So when we opened our studio for “Textures of Time”, it felt less like hosting an event and more like welcoming a practice that moves in a string similar to ours.

“Textures of Time” brought together BODMENTS and artist Manoj Jain; two practices that find meaning in what already exists.

For us, that thread runs through vintage Indian textiles, reworked into contemporary forms without losing the soul they were born with and as or Manoj, it runs through his lived experiences, translated into textured canvases that hold traces of chaos, calm, and everything in between.

What began as an exhibition slowly shifted into an evening, where a small community gathered around craft, art, and the act of simply being present. Our intention was simple: to create a space where people could slow down, reconnect with what feels familiar, and experience both our worlds side by side.

In that sense, “Textures of Time” became more than a viewing. It became a reminder that creation, in all its forms, begins long before we touch the material. It begins with everything we carry.
